Geins Family Giftshop ★★★★

" GFG are largely one-step ahead of the audience and they employ nifty tricks to keep us guessing. You won’t see their punchlines coming, even when ‘coming’ is the punchline. ." – Time Out

GEINS FAMILY GIFTSHOP ★★★★

" Something wicked this way comes. Madcarp sketch trio Geins Family Giftshop take the Fringe by the scruff of the neck with a blistering debut hour of twisted, surreal humour. Artificially amplified fractiousness between the performers - ‘Im the woman of the group so Ill be on stage the least’ deadpans Hughes – churns the delicious undercurrent of sexual tension." – Metro

GEINS FAMILY GIFTSHOP ★★★★

" I was rewarded with an hour of tense, inventive sketch comedy and enough psychosexual shenanighans to last an entire festival. … an experimental format that is by turns bold, intelligent and refreshingly prop free. Like the League Of Gentlemen before them, they also have a silent, fourth member. Memorably unsettling." – Mail on Sunday

GEINS FAMILY GIFTSHOP ★★★★

" a distinctive debut hour that glories in its own silliness, scatology and twisted masturbatory fantasies, without ever growing overpowering… the writing by the Mancunian trio and offstage member Kiri Pritchard-McLean is tight and impishly inventive, while the performances flow easily from nuanced subtlety to frenzied slapstick." – Fest

GEINS FAMILY GIFTSHOP★★★★★

" The Manchester Trio work harder and tighter than James Brown, with the kind of sensibility that would unsettle even the darkest League of Gentlemen fan. Like many of the new breed, they constantly slip in and out of sketches while explaining themselves to the audience, magicians pretending to reveal their skills but leaving you more baffled than before. It’s a simple, stripped-down show – no props, no costumes – and the theme is gothic, with riffs taken from urban legends and Slender Man style memes. They fit the tiny space perfectly, so go before they grow. Even if you hate them, you will have seem something genuinely new.deliciously sexy, a little bit bizarre and a whole lot of unbridled, raucous fun. ." – The Times

”timing is terrific, and the script densely packed with laugh lines. The mix of sick humour and stoopid antics is characteristic – it's a strong debut " – The Guardian

GEINS FAMILY GIFTSHOP ★★★★

" Easily the biggest feather in the Gein’s cap is the dramatic ability of its cast. The three have a wonderful chemistry and give genuinely powerful performances. The audience is fully on board for every sketch, sucked in by the acting chops of the trio. Gein’s Family Giftshop has brought a strong and surprising sketch show to the table. Full of belly laughs and hilarious shocks." – Giggle Beats
