“Ravishing retro glamour…unmissable” The Telegraph
Brief Description
Lili la Scala is a diminutive diva with a big voice. A devotee of vintage glamour, this doll-like starlet will seduce you with her pin-up looks and her nightingale voice. Opera, vintage songs and variety are only part of her wide and varied repertoire. She’ll reveal more than just her voice…and blow your socks off.
Biography
Since finishing her training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, ‘The Songbird of Trafalgar Square’ has been delighting audiences worldwide with her gorgeous vintage songs. With a killer combination of a vintage pin-up girl figure, the face of a silver screen starlet and the voice of an angel, Lili enthrals and enchants with every performance she gives. Beguiling and seductive as her nightingale tones fill the air, her shows are a treat for the ears as well as the eyes.
“She delights with her elegance, her sweetness, her crystalline voice and her empathy…pure joy” Adelaide Advertiser
In 2011 Lili took her solo show ‘Songs to Make You Smile’ to The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Wanting to send audiences home with warm, glowing smiles, she researched vintage songs with a quirky and amusing slant, bringing a delightful, old fashioned feel-good factor to the Assembly Gardens. Having received high critical acclaim for this show, she returned to the Fringe in 2012 with her cheeky and fascinating offering ‘Another F*cking Variety Show’. With regular contributors from the world of Burlesque, Magic, Comedy and the Circus, Lili made a glorious host and would bring the house down on a nightly basis with her mellifluous tones. Having proven herself to be a charismatic and captivating host, Lili is also now resident host of the Ministry of Burlesque’s touring show.
“Impeccable…mesmerising…perfect” Metro
Although Lili’s heart is in London, she has been in great demand on the festival circuit worldwide, recent festivals including the Edinburgh, Adelaide and Brighton Fringe, The World Busker’s Festival in Christchurch, Splore Music Festival and Gisbourne Busker’s Festival, Winchester Hat Fair and Cork Midsummer Festival. Lili’s corporate clients are hugely varied, but include The Judicial Studies Board, Scottish Widows, Thompson Holidays, Christchurch Council, Southend United Football Club and Essex Cricket Club.
